The Nanjing Municipal Committee of the China Democratic Construction Association has established its first charity fund -10 children from disadvantaged families each receive a subsidy of 1000 yuan
Nanjing Daily News (Reporter Ma Daojun) Yesterday, the "Minjian Shengqinghe Charity Fund" spontaneously established by members of the Qinhuai District Minjian held a plaque unveiling ceremony in Zhongshan Gate Community. This is the first charity fund established by the Minjian Nanjing Municipal Committee.
Nanjing Daily News (Reporter Ma Daojun) Yesterday, the "Minjian Shengqinghe Charity Fund" spontaneously established by members of the Qinhuai District Minjian held a plaque unveiling ceremony in Zhongshan Gate Community. This is the first charity fund established by the Minjian Nanjing Municipal Committee. On that day, 10 children from disadvantaged families each received a subsidy of 1000 yuan. "With this money, children will have enough money to buy counseling materials this semester." Yesterday, Ma Enxiang, who lives in Zhongshan Gate Community at the donation site, told reporters that several years ago, her husband spent all his family's savings because of pancreatic cancer, and then left. She currently doesn't have a stable job and is living a tight life. This year, her child is striving to be admitted to a key high school, so there is always hope for her life.
This charity fund is voluntarily raised by Nanjing Shengqinghe Chemical Co., Ltd. and members of Minjian Qinhuai District. The crowdfunding funds will provide 60000 to 150000 yuan per year for 10 consecutive years, totaling about 1 million yuan. The fund is mainly used for education assistance, poverty alleviation, disability assistance, natural disaster relief, and the civil construction project.
