This morning (September 21st), the "Minjian Shengqinghe Charity Fund" spontaneously established by members of the Qinhuai District Minjian held a plaque unveiling ceremony in Zhongshan Gate Community. This is the first charity fund established by the Minjian Nanjing Municipal Committee. After the new Charity Law was introduced on September 1st, personal donations were included in the legal norms, supervised and managed by the competent department, forming a fund donated by charitable organizations, and implemented by grassroots communities to ensure the legal use of donated funds and goods. This is the first self-organized charity public welfare platform in Nanjing. The members attending this ceremony include: leaders from the Nanjing Municipal Committee of the China Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of China, the Municipal Charity Federation, the Qinhuai District United Front Work Department, the Qinhuai District Civil Affairs Bureau, the Qinhuai District Political Consultative Conference, the Ruijin Road Street, 7 directors from the Shengqinghe Charity Foundation, 10 donating families, the Qinhuai General Branch of the China Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of China, relevant members, and news media.

The fund funds are mainly raised by Nanjing Shengqinghe Chemical Co., Ltd. in collaboration with other members of the Qinhuai District Branch of the China Democratic Construction Association. The crowdfunding funds will provide 60000 to 150000 yuan per year for 10 consecutive years, totaling about 1 million yuan. The fund is mainly used for education assistance, poverty alleviation, disability assistance, natural disaster relief, and the civil construction project. With the promulgation and implementation of the new Charity Law, Wang Jinning, the general manager of Nanjing Shengqinghe Chemical Co., Ltd., a low-key public welfare and charity entrepreneur who has been engaged in public welfare for more than ten years, made his debut. As the initiator of the foundation, he has always been concerned about disadvantaged children and families at the bottom of the community, adopting a point-to-point assistance model and dedicating himself to public welfare for more than ten years.        The Foundation Council also gathered seven representatives from various industries of the Nanjing Municipal Committee of the China Democratic Construction Corporation to form the Foundation Council. The representatives from various industries are committed to building a social service brand that belongs to the China Democratic Construction Corporation in Qinhuai.

Social service work is one of the important social functions of democratic parties, and carrying out social services is a fine tradition of democratic parties. The China Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB) has its own social service work brand, the "Source Project". The activities of the DAB Nanjing Municipal Committee, such as the "Source Project - Maternity Care and Targeted Assistance", have achieved fruitful results. In order to better form a clustering effect, the "China Democratic Construction Shengqinghe Charity Fund" will be invested over 10 years, with a focus on providing education assistance, as well as policy and regulatory support for poverty alleviation, disability assistance, and other areas that are lacking. This will enable limited funds to truly assist vulnerable and disadvantaged groups, and truly realize General Secretary Xi Jinping's concept of "precise poverty alleviation". At the same time, by integrating and mobilizing resources from point to area, we can form a joint force, expand our demonstrative role, and create a good reputation effect.

On April 26th, the Qinhuai District Branch of the China Democratic Construction Association actively responded to the deployment of the central, provincial, municipal, and district governments to promote nationwide reading activities. Through the "China Democratic Construction Shengqinghe Charity Fund", it donated 5000 yuan to the Qinhuai District Disabled Persons' Federation to support disabled people to participate in the Qinhuai District "Accessible Book Fragrance" series of reading activities and stimulate their reading enthusiasm.

At around 14:00 on June 23, severe tornadoes and hail disasters occurred in some areas of Funing County and Sheyang County in Jiangsu Province. After discussion between the Qinhuai District General Branch and the Democratic Construction Shengqinghe Charity Fund, it was decided to donate 15000 yuan, and together with the majority of Qinhuai Democratic Construction members, a total of 33400 yuan was donated.
