It is mainly used as a solvent for resins, natural rubber, ethyl cellulose, and chloroacetic acid vinyl acetate copolymers. It is also a raw material in the pharmaceutical industry and can be used for the synthesis of anti hemorrhoid drugs such as piperaquine phosphate.

Packaging, Storage, Transportation, and Safety
1. Store in a cool and ventilated warehouse. Stay away from sources of fire and heat. The storage temperature should not exceed 30 ℃. The packaging requires sealing and must not come into contact with air. It should be stored separately from oxidants and avoid mixing storage.
