Essential information
Trisodium phosphate is a white odorless crystal or particle, or crystalline powder. Soluble in water, insoluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and carbon disulfide. Weathering in dry air, at 100 ° C, it loses twelve crystalline waters and becomes anhydrous (Na3PO4). The aqueous solution is alkaline and has a certain erosive effect on the skin.
Application area
Used as a water softener and detergent in industries such as chemical, textile, printing and dyeing, papermaking, and power generation, boiler anti scaling agent, water softener in paper dyeing, pH buffering agent for adhesives used in wax paper production, fixing agent during printing and dyeing, silk gloss enhancer for fabrics, and anti brittleness agent for production lines. Metallurgical industry is used as a chemical degreasing and cleaning agent, and as an excellent promoter in photographic development solutions. Teeth cleaning agents and bottle cleaning detergents. Coagulant for rubber milk. Sugar juice purifier. Phosphates play a role in improving the quality of food processing, such as maintaining the water holding capacity of meat and enhancing cohesion in meat products, in order to reduce the loss of nutrients in meat and preserve its tenderness. It is also used as an emulsifier, nutritional supplement, and quality improver in food processing. It is a raw material for preparing alkaline water for noodles, and is also used for refining sugar and manufacturing alpha starch. It is also used as a detergent for food bottles, cans, etc.
Solid trisodium phosphate (TSP) belongs to the category of strong alkali and weak acid salts, with strong alkalinity and high solubility. It has stable chemical properties and can be stored for a long time. Adding TSP instead of NaOH to the spray water of the containment spray system (EAS) can adjust the pH value of the spray liquid, effectively remove iodine gas released from the leaked cooling water into the containment, avoid harm to workers caused by strong alkali, and is easy to clean up after accidents.

Emergency measures
