Application areas

Usually, vegetable oil plasticizer has been applied to PVC resin, the amount of 15%. The amount of modified vegetable oil plasticizer can be higher than 15%,20%,40% and 50%. The upper limit of the amount of plasticizer is typically about 70%. Higher concentrations of high epoxy plasticizers will provide high thermal stability.

ESO is a non-toxic plastic plasticizer. It is a plasticizer approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (PDA) for food packaging materials. ESO is used as a plasticizer in the production and manufacture of PVC non-toxic products, PVC transparent products, transparent bottles, transparent boxes, food, drug packaging materials, PVC medical "blood transfusion bags", PVC outdoor plastic products, waterproof coiled materials, plastic doors and windows, wallpaper plastic films, etc.

 

Stabilizer

Epoxy compounds include ESO, EPSO, epoxidized linseed oil, and the like. Among them, epoxy oil ester is more commonly used in PVC auxiliary stabilizer, non-toxic, to a certain extent, as an auxiliary plasticizer, heat stabilizer, used in the production of semi-rigid and rigid PVC products.

The degradation of PVC begins with the dehydrochlorination reaction, and the dehydrochlorination often starts from the allyl chloride, and the presence of hydrogen chloride accelerates the degradation rate of PVC, making it quickly form a polyene chain structure.

 

Cosmetic plasticizer

Plasticizers and solvents effective in the composition of cosmetic ingredients, used for film-forming substances, where the plasticizer is epoxy oil, used to form nail polish ingredients, makeup products or hair care products.

 

Chewing gum

Epoxidized soybean oil can be added to chewing gum as a softener to optimize mouthfeel. The softeners, also known as plasticizers and plasticizing agents, are generally present in amounts of about 5% to about 15% by weight. Elastomeric plasticizers used in the manufacture of chewing gum include triglyceride acetate, EPSO, lecithin, and combinations thereof. Compared with other plasticizers, epoxy soybean oil has almost no toxicity, and the advantages of low price.

 

biodegradable agricultural film

ESO can be polymerized with citric acid to form a polyester coating on kraft paper for the manufacture of biodegradable agricultural films. This coating increases the wet strength of the paper and reduces the degradation rate of the paper.

Environmentally friendly plasticizers can be used for biopolymers. The properties of the biopolymer may be improved to make it more flexible and/or to alter the flow characteristics. Most biopolymers can use large amounts of environmentally friendly plasticizers. Including glycerin, acetic acid triglyceride, epoxy oil ester, etc.
