Acetic acid (98%), chemical formula CH3COOH, is an organic monobasic acid and the main component of vinegar. Pure anhydrous acetic acid (glacial acetic acid) is a colorless hygroscopic solid with a freezing point of 16.6 ℃ (62 ℉). After solidification, it becomes colorless crystals. application area 

Industrial use
1. Acetic acid is a bulk chemical product and one of the important organic acids. Mainly used for the production of acetic anhydride, acetate, and cellulose acetate. Polyvinyl acetate can be used to make films and adhesives, and is also a raw material for synthetic fiber vinylon. Cellulose acetate can be used to produce synthetic silk and film.
2. Acetate formed from lower alcohols are excellent solvents widely used in the paint industry. Because acetic acid dissolves most organic compounds, it is also a commonly used organic solvent.
3. Acetic acid can be used in certain pickling and polishing solutions, as a buffering agent in weakly acidic solutions (such as zinc plating and electroless nickel plating), as an additive in semi bright nickel plating electrolytes, and as a passivating agent in zinc and cadmium passivation solutions to enhance the adhesion of passivation films. It is also commonly used to adjust the pH of weakly acidic plating solutions.
4. Used for the production of acetate salts, such as manganese, sodium, lead, aluminum, zinc, cobalt and other metal salts, widely used as catalysts, auxiliaries in fabric dyeing and leather tanning industries; Lead acetate is the color of paint, lead white; Lead tetraacetate is an organic synthetic reagent.
5. Acetic acid can also be used as an analytical reagent in organic synthesis, pigment and drug synthesis.
 
Food use
In the food industry, acetic acid is used as an acidifier, flavoring agent, and flavoring agent. When synthesizing vinegar, acetic acid is diluted with water to 4-5% and various seasonings are added. The flavor is similar to alcohol vinegar, and the manufacturing time is short and the price is cheap. As an acidifier, it can be used for compound seasoning, preparing vinegar, canned food, jelly, and cheese, and used in appropriate amounts according to production needs. It can also be used as a fragrance enhancer for aromatic wine, with a dosage of 0.1-0.3 g/kg.
 

 

 

 

Packaging, Storage, Transportation, and Safety

Management of Operations
Sealed operation, strengthen ventilation. Operators must undergo specialized training and strictly adhere to operating procedures. It is recommended that operators wear self-priming filter type gas masks (half masks), chemical safety goggles, acid and alkali resistant plastic work clothes, and rubber acid and alkali resistant gloves. Avoid contact with oxidants and alkalis. Handle with care during transportation to prevent damage to packaging and containers. Storage management
Store in a cool and ventilated warehouse. Stay away from sources of fire and heat. During the freezing season, the storage temperature should be kept above 16 ℃ to prevent solidification. Keep the container sealed. It should be stored separately from oxidants and alkalis, and avoid mixing storage. Adopt explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities. Prohibit the use of mechanical equipment and tools that are prone to generating sparks. The storage area should be equipped with emergency response equipment for leaks and suitable containment materials.
 
 
Management of Transportation
 
This product is transported by railway using aluminum tank trucks provided by the enterprise. Approval from relevant departments is required before shipment. When transporting non canned goods by railway, the dangerous goods loading table in the "Dangerous Goods Transport Rules" of the Ministry of Railways should be strictly followed for loading. When shipping, the packaging should be intact and the loading should be secure. During transportation, it is necessary to ensure that the container does not leak, collapse, fall, or be damaged. The tank truck used for transportation should have a grounding chain, and a perforated partition can be installed inside the tank to reduce static electricity generated by vibration. It is strictly prohibited to mix and transport with oxidants, alkalis, edible chemicals, etc. When transporting by road, follow the prescribed route and do not stay in residential or densely populated areas.
