It is mainly used to produce unsaturated resin, polyester powder coating, oil-free alkyd resin, polyurethane foam plastic, i.e. plasticizer of elastomer, synthetic plasticizer, surfactant, insulating material, printing ink, polymerization inhibitor, synthetic aviation lubricant oil additive, etc. In addition, it has also been applied in the pharmaceutical industry. Meanwhile, neopentyl glycol is also an excellent solvent for the selective separation of aromatic hydrocarbons and cyclic hydrocarbons.
application area
Neopentyl glycol is mainly used to prepare unsaturated polyester resin, polyester resin, alkyd resin, polyurethane foam and synthetic lubricant, as well as elastomer plasticizer and coating. In addition, neopentyl glycol is also used in the production of insecticides, drugs, polymerization inhibitors, stabilizers, lubricant additives, and as a solvent. Adding neopentyl glycol to the chemical fiber production process can enhance the heat resistance of the fibers.
