Dimethylacetamide, also known as N, N-dimethylacetamide (chemical formula: CH3C (O) N (CH3) 2, abbreviated as DMAC or DMA). A commonly used non proton polar solvent. Colorless transparent liquid, flammable. Can be mixed with organic solvents such as water, alcohols, ethers, esters, benzene, trichloromethane, and aromatic compounds at will. Used in the production of drugs, synthetic resins, as well as solvents for polyacrylonitrile spinning and extraction distillation solvents for separating styrene from carbon eight fractions.
